I could never possibly forget this game and how it introduce me to games in general. This was me and my brother's childhood game on the Gamecube, I fondly remember the many hours we spend on split screen races over and over again, I remember that my more unskilled younger self could not understand manual transmissions, and would blow the engine in the drag racing mode, and being in awe at the graphical quality that's now considered dated as any older game tends to be... but the soundtrack though... oh man, please GOG if you can keep the OG soundtrack please try your damnedest to do so, it was one of, if not the best part of the game, listening to Celebration Song now just puts me in this nostalgic trance, and I would love nothing more than to hear in-game again, this is one to preserve for sure.
Plain and simple. This was the peak of Need for Speed. Everything was on point. From the music, to the cars and customization, to the gameplay and online gameplay. This game was one of the best car racing games of all time!
NSFMW and NFSU2 must be one and two in the most asked games, as they are abandonware... How come these two are so low on this list? Come on people, let's make this happen!
Brother, I cannot tell you how much we need this back on the PC. I have played this game so many times already and still come back every few years because it's been so good every time. Forget about simulation for a second, and let's have fun playing NFS2. They could even add the LAN connections again, and we can create lobbies, serving as hosts. Racing with split screen with your buddies, remember that too? The forgotten potential of EA is right here! If we can get this back with all the old music too, it will be the best arcade racing game ever! I would hope so, because it's just part of it.
I crave for game like this someday because EA don't make banger like this anymore problem is most racing game are based off the pro series racer instead of actually street racing. NFS underground spark every person dream of owning legendary car and drifting that car in urban area where every angle can be drift. the only thing i wish for is NFS Underground and NFS Underground 2 along with the MOST WANTED (not the 2011 version). That why we need every need for speed game that was made on PC because i know that EA made the First one from the 90s and still got most of the NFS series on PC instead of console. So come on bring this series back so that everyone can enjoy this game and why this game are made to be fun.
in spain in the 2000's, a culture developed around this game and teenagers who wanted to be mechanics or knew about cars. The cars were very popular models in the tuning world because they were relatively affordable in Spain and we spent hours racing and deciding which were the best parts for the car. It was such a phenomenon that any Spanish man under 40 years old remembers this game if you ask him about it today. It would be good to bring this game to gog to make it more accessible on pc and avoid piracy.

Ohh... 21 years already? Where have those went? My hair sure weren't going grey back then! NSFU2 was the peak of the series for me. Most players seemed to enjoy NFSMW, but challenging the police for the sake of challenging the police, never got my kicks out of that; when playing a racing game, I want to race. And back then, with the early days of the F&F movies - ooh, that was our youth! Today we look and sound like dinosaurs when we're grinning and reminiscing about those neons and car tuning; like my hair, where have those went too? Might as well go all the way through with the archetype: "pfeh, kids these days don't know what's good!" I can't tell how many hours we spent with friends challenging one another. The setting of underground races was there, and it plays a massive part into the appeal of the game. Yeah, it never were a proper racing simulation; but that wasn't the point, right? It's about the thrill and appeal of underground races! Who honestly never tried to reproduce that grey Skyline, or make that Mustang roar? And the music. Is there any player who hasn't sung that version of Riders on the storm? Ahh, so much to feel nostalgic about! Bring it back, free of DRM!
Самая атмосферная и лучшая часть NFS (ИМХО), проходя её, я вспоминал Форсаж, и из-за этого, у меня появилась симпатия к уличным гонкам.Я хочу, чтобы игра появилась в GOG.

This game is a big part of my childhood and I used to play it with my brother on our Nintendo Gamecube. I haven't seen him in roughly 10 years. But thinking back at these days fills me with joy and nostalgia. Please bring this game back!
