This game absolutely needs to be on GOG.
I never could get into Warcraft or C&C, not really, but I distinctly remember playing this game on an old emachine for the first time and immediately being consumed by it for the rest of the evening. I have no idea the amount of hours that I've sunk into this game and its mandatory expansion over the years.
The selling point for me is the balance of the game, nothing ever feels like a grind or a wasted effort, even in failed missions, no paths seem more valid than another, except in very blatant and specific scenarios. And the story is pretty solid as well, if you can deal with the essence of Silver-era Sci-Fi writing... which I'm fine with.
(Incidentally, to my surprise, SC:WoL didn't destroy the legacy of SC by reinventing the wheel, just adding story and missions, some polish, and QoL additions. How often does *that happen?! 8O )
