Man, what a formative part of my childhood. The campaign owns. Alien campaign is awesome for the buildup from facehugger to drone. Where you start weak and become a mighty bug. The pouncing, running along walls (basically no other game does this right) is great. The Marine campaign had us bricking our pants the whole time. Distinctly remember my mate startled by a pipe and emptying his pulse rifle into the ceiling. The level where you're running out of the hive is amazing. The Predator campaign had such great weapons, great atmosphere. Loved collecting the heads from the speargun, and the screams he would do when you healed.JMcCloud

It's the first game ever I discovered online multiplayer, it was for me something crazy when I was young. I met several game buddies and some of them became close friends. About the game itself, the multiplayer modes were both competitive (overrun) and extremely funny (survivor), the game was open to custom maps, the solo mode with 3 differents gameplay was something as well... truly ahead on its time ! So much good memories with this one I just want to say: 1-4 no nade stagg allowed

Truely one of my most beloved and cherished games, the campaigns were unique and fun, the Multiplayer still to this day has so much to offer the gaming community. Countless hours defending against unrelenting aliens while crowded in a small vent firing our miniguns in Survivor, Being Hunted by predators in Hunt mode. i believe if this was to be accessable again it would form (obviously) a small but very dedicated online fan base again because there just isnt anything like this or atleast as fun as this online. Also no battlepass, no barrier of entry, just turn the game on and do some silly S**t online with people and actually just have fun.

This is one of my most memorable gaming experiences… and there’s been a few over the decades. Atmosphere, story, and suspension at the start of (especially marine and alien campaign) was great. The way that three campaigns interconnected felt truly special, and 20+ years after I still can’t think of a game that have done it better. Gameplay of colonial marine, alien and predator were all unique and fun (even some of the problems of Predator gameplay from first AvP was fixed). I’ve wondered many times why can’t I throw money at someone to buy this game. Let’s bring it back!

The Marine campaign was great, i want to experience this again! one of the best moments was when a predator laser came out of nowhere to target me, but it didnt shoot, was just to scare me.

Ah a classic FPS from the early 2000s as well as a multiplayer that is a bit more than simply "alien V human V predator", oh no, there are different categories in each. Though I didnt play the multiplayer in its hay day unfortunately, oh no, I played the campaign which is still fun to this day.

The ability to play the same game from 3 major perspectives is still a unique experience that draws me to this series. It is something I'd like to see attempted more. (I'm still partial to playing the predator....)

This game is beyond epic and it had fantastic multiplayer. I would absolutely love to see it on gog I would buy this and it's dlc/sequel in an instant! The campaign stories were great as well!

The best AvP game out there, the story was great, the gameplay was awesome and the atmosphere was immersive. It would be truly amazing if this came to GoG, insta-buy.

Das verdammt noch mal beste Spiel der Reihe!!!! Damals auf den LAN Partys ein absolutes MUSS! Man hatten wir eine gute Zeit, neben Alien Isolation oder Dark Descent kamen leider viel zu wenige Spiele dieser Art raus die das Universum und die Atmosphäre so gut umgesetzt haben wie AVP2 inklusive Addon.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
