I still have the disk and I really need this one! The possibility to play as Marine, Alien and Predator is so epic. All three plots have scenes in common. So strong! At release time this was the most epic game released. The newer parts are not as good as this one. It is a master piece.Mr_Chaos

Alien vs Predator 2 was a defining game for me on the PC and the first truly awesome online multiplayer gaming experience I had. The online match modes were incredibly fun (great classes to choose from, great species variety, if you played as an Alien you could turn on a setting that had the alien players play through the whole life cycle of the Alien through the match). Amazing sound design and animations for the time. It is an absolute classic and I would love to play it legally and easily with my friends online one day.

This was the game that shaped me in my youth. The mixture of pure movie-love to the Monolith style humor has stuck with me for years and has influenced my artwork, mods, and even some of my writing. The worse part though is the license limbo that this game is in prevents it from being easily played. Since it would require Fox Interactive (Disney) and Monolith (Discover-Warner Bros) to agree about this abandonware game. Hopefully GOG can take that proble off of their hands.

This is one of the very few FPS games I really loved playing. The three campaigns were fun to play and it was really cool to be on all sides of the story. Multiplayer was extremely fun back in the day. Unfortunately I lost my discs when moving, so I'd love to see this coming to GoG to let this gem of a game shine once more.

AVP2 is the best game, from avp series, i remember playing campaign, as marine this location and the atmosphere of the game, I felt like I was being hunted, multiplayer on this game is a gold

When i was 11 - 12. my parents called me to come home at once from a friends house. i got there and had a very ominous feeling, like i did something wrong. sure enough i see my mom and dad standing in the living room side by side saying that '' i was in trouble''. My heart started pounding, my palms sweaty. suddenly they pulled this game out from behind their backs and laught at my shocked expression. Needless to say. Please bring this gog!!!!!!

I am downstairs on my family desktop, my brother is upstairs in his bedroom on his laptop. He was the marine and I was the alien. Then there was the gamespy network and the madness of facehuggers and rocket launchers and predators... This game is a masterclass game by Monolith, that to me, was amazing before F.E.A.R., this game deserves some new love for a new generation with open source multiplayer servers!

Great shooter, best multiplayer i've ever played, 16 players on local network, 3 sides, Marines vs Aliens vs Predators, first group to reach 40 kills wins, hours and hours of fun playing in the cybercafe back in the 2000s. Please bring it back, with online multiplayer server, it will be epic.

This was the first videogame I played in my life. I still remember the nights I stayed up late just to repeat every campaign over and over. It's one of the best Asymmetric-horror & FPS games of the early 2000s. The game has a good story, interesting characters, iconic sounds and soundtrack, an amazing atmosphere and a very fun gameplay. A game that spits so much personality. One of my favourite of all time.

AvP2 is the best overall package of the three in my opinion. Each species has their own unique campaigns and gameplay styles, and even the Alien features the full life cycle! The multiplayer is so fun, and the campaign felt like I was playing through an AvP comic book. I love how each of the player characters' stories intersect, making everything feel truly connected. To be able to play this optimized for modern hardware would be a dream come true!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
