Ophelium: Not aware if the Artbook is actually separated from the bonus application, even on Steam.
Could anyone confirm on the presence or absence of the artbook?
VBProject: So? It doesn't exist or what? It exists and it not so hidden on Epic Store where it downloads with other languages.
Grargar: I don't disagree that the language exists. I'm just saying that it's pretty well hidden for people to take notice (Even the Epic storepage makes no mention of the Japanese language being supported). Usually, when languages are missing here, it's pretty easy to spot. Not so much in this case.
This is where it gets weirder: the Japanese DLC has "Very Negative" reviews, and when I put a couple of those reviews on Google Translate, I found out that this DLC was originally
sold separately from the base game and it was not available for Mac users. Apparently, Square Enix is to blame, which is even stranger since they owned the Tomb Raider IP back in the day, not just the Japanese localisation. I have no idea what they expected would happen to do such a thing on their own Japanese player base.
Furthermore, "Crystal Dynamics" is currently listed as developer and publisher, and Square Enix is no longer indicated even in the copyright disclaimer, which makes me thing that it's not a situation where Square Enix still holds the rights to the Japanese localisation even if the franchise is now part of Embracer.
I have no idea why they chose to hide the Japanese DLC but keep it available for free through direct link, when they could have just updated the base game. But long story short, it fits the requirement for our list.
