Uuuh, credit on that banner art ?

Zoidberg: Uuuh, credit on that banner art ?
Actually had a discussion about that with fellow Gogger.

Given that currently it seems that knee-jerk reaction is to call everything AI made, i disagreed with said fellow Gogger.

For at least a while, would think its best not to have the credit, as in the end there will always be a small group that will chase down the artist with the "i dont belive you, its definitely AI because i can tell" - which to my knowledge is already happening with this banner despite not being made with AI.

Its shame an artist cant have its recognition/spotlight, but thats the time we live in i guess...

We did agree on wonder if GOG has a policy on this, but lets not derail more the thread.

Day 2 of bday shopping! The cart is getting bigger!

Congratulations!
Now you can celebrate with champagne :-)
Happy birthday/anniversary to GOG.com! Honestly a wonderful accomplishment to have this store here as a bastion of DRM-free gaming...if it wasn't for GOG (and, specifically, the DRM-free offline installers!), I never would've gotten back into PC gaming. For me, it's DRM-free or nothing. While I haven't been able to spend as much time or coin on GOG in this last year as I would've liked, I've at least loaded up my wishlist to heights I haven't ever done so before, for what will hopefully be more purchases soon. DRM-free offline installers are the best thing to exist in gaming, and kudos to GOG for still providing us with that all these years later.

Call this "kneejerk" if you will, if it's the reaction to someone just wanting artists to at least get credited, I'll proudly wear that badge.

?

You may misread me, or maybe i was not clear in making my view: the "kneejerk" part was about making acusations against an artist that arent true based on "gut" feelings.

This behaviour seems to inhibit artists getting due credit as the first response is generally becoming attacking the artist.

The kneejerk part was not about asking for artists getting credited for their work (and not about you/your post) was just sharing my perception on this topic.

You are aware of the running joke/bet on how long (how many pages in the forum) it takes for, at least one person, to be absolute certain that the art was made by AI? = thats how prevalent the issue has become, hence my observation above that i understand why some images have no credits.

If I'm not wrong, the gogger you argued with has clearly stated that he won't chase any artist that claimed their art to be human, he just said that he don't trust the claim at all in this particular case, but that it was his particular, personal opinion. You just cared too much about his particular, personal opinion. I defend the credit to be in every place the art is visible.

No, the other Gogger i discussed with was not Zoidberg, it was with another fellow Gogger on Discord!!!
Where i presented a possible reason for why there are no credits!
Its funny because we all have are on the same page, am not just expressing myself correctly.

Nor was i implying or ever implied that he would do that!
